redIALA is founded by researchers and architects, trying to create an open network for Latin- American architecture and urbanism. It invites people of any nationality to participate in the different projects.

redIALA is an association created in 2003 within the Politecnical University of Cataluña (UPC). It is dedicated to build a platform in order to find planning alternatives concerning the architectural and urbanistic knowledge of Latin America: documentation, research, teaching and planning.

The activities of redIALA are financed by institutions and sponsors dedicated to these projects. Interested people are invited to work in the projects as associated members or collaborating staff .

 

 Objects

· Promote and publish the valué and importance of the Latin American city and architecture in different levels.
· Create fountains of documentation for architecture and urbanism in Latin America in order to form a base for studies and research.
· Incentive and developp research based on the fountains of documentation.
· Generate platforms for academic discussions with teaching activities.
· Encourage collaboration and interchange between different academic associations; governmentals, non- governmentals, civic, etc. about the specific problems.
